CRAFTY WONDERLAND
Crafty Wonderland is simply what happened when two Portland artists, Cathy and Torie, decided to create a venue where they could sell their own handmade goods and help friends do the same. Both were members of the all-ladies craft collective Portland Super Crafty, and together they conjured up all the things they’d want in a perfect Portland fair: regularly scheduled, indoors, juried, with a kids’ area for budding artists and a free DIY section where artists teach guests how to work their crafty magic. Thanks to immense community support, this vision became not only a reality, but a huge success. Shoppers and vendors flock to our colossal spring and holiday craft market in the spirit of celebrating all things handmade.
Crafty Wonderland - Featuring work by over 200 local artists!

We have continued to morph and evolve over the years, with a mix of fair-trade art, locally-made gifts, and street art. PDXchange has become a place that is hard to define—and we like it that way. Because really, you are the one who makes us what we are. Every person who enters our shop defines PDXchange but what they are drawn to, what they’re excited to see, the pieces they take home with them, and the energy they leave behind.
So stop by and define PDXchange for yourself. Is it a gift shop? A gallery? Your new favorite place to hang out? You decide. While our inventory is constantly changing, here are four distinct sections you can always expect to find: Imported and fair-trade art / Street art / PDXchange Gallery / The Sticker Frog.

SymbiOp Garden Shop & Landscaping
FOR THE PEOPLE AND PLANET
SymbiOp started off as a one-person landscaping business, operated by one of our co-founders, Nutmeg. We have grown significantly over the years. On Oct 1st, 2021, we also opened an ecological garden shop, using our plant expertise to make ecological gardening even more accessible to the greater community. Our workers have 10+ years of experience cultivating ecological landscapes, and even more years of experience with plant care in general. We come from a multitude of identities and backgrounds.
The name SymbiOp stands for Symbiosis Cooperative. We picked that name because we value the idea of symbiosis – a mutually beneficial relationship for all participants. We apply this value not only in the work we do, by cultivating plants and landscapes that are beneficial to our customers, our communities, and the greater ecosystems, but also in how we govern our company, as a worker cooperative, an employee-owned company.
Symbiosis is not just a product that we produce. It is a value that we believe in. We value it so much that we put it in our bylaws. This means we are bound by laws to consider our social and ecological impacts as much if not more than our financial gains.
